Loss of Identity

So, what happened between us human beings with social media? how the mass communication process provides an explanation to the question above? At first glance the answer is that we have encountered, the effects of mass communication in humans can not be separated from the media as a "stimulator" for humans to respond and take action against him. And it would be interesting to see the impact of the use of communication media (like facebook) for human behavior if we examine further from the perspective of psychology.

In the book A Cognitive Psychology of Mass Communication by Richard Jackson Harris in 2004, explained that our current society is swimming in the ocean proverbial media. According to research conducted in several countries in the world, the most popular activity in the world when spare time is relaxing with electronic media are watching television, surfing, and hit handpont. During the 39 hours per week according to him, our free time used to be busy with fun electronic tools and only 2.8 hours a week are used to reading. In addition, when turning on the television and the internet, few people who use the facility with special programs that have been planned, and most of the others just look for it (no planned). And that we, being human unconscious (a loss of identity) when we are together we are all proud of, especially when we netted and in social networks.

If we further study, that the proposed approach BFSkinner Behaviorism, also gives us an explanation that human behavior is formed by the relationship between the stimulus-response (SR). And it seems that this approach is not wrong, because facebook is present in the presence of humans and then humans as pengggunanya a response action to use it as a medium of communication of results from technology created man. Response actions will be stronger when the response he got the reward, either directly or indirectly.
