Problems of The Communication System

The digital divide can also be related to education and literacy, but in a konret and fundamentally, it is about the issue of access alone (Howard & Massanari, 2007).
When compared to many other countries, Indonesia's telecommunications still at a level far below them. One thing we can notice is the internet access in Indonesia. Other countries, such as Hong Kong, has a telecommunications infrastructure that is built well, and the legal environment in which there is no government regulation of content (Zhu & He, 2002).
Internet became a part of modern life today. Its use can not be released in a day-to-day activities. It is estimated there are 25 million people who communicate using the internet 16 years ago (Morris, et al, 1996), then at this time the number is certainly already jumped away. Often, a lot of complaints about slow Internet connection leveled. The measurement results show that if the speed of internet access via desktop Indonesia is the slowest (Widiastuti, 2012). Meanwhile, countries with highest Internet speed is South Korea, the South Korean people belonging to the most active Internet users each day (Kyung & Wang, 2004).
The development of infrastructure to support telecommunications in Indonesia is expected.
